Frequently asked questions about – Obtaining CPD Units

Can I obtain all my CPD / CLE Points/Units from CPD for Me?
Yes, most states allow 5 Online Web CPD (on-demand) 24/7 units and 5 Live Webinar CPD units, making CPD for Me 10 Unit subscriptions and packages the smart choice for busy professionals.  With the exception of WA, you can earn all your 10 CPD/ CLE units through attending our live interactive webinars online events, watching on-demand Practice Management, Substantive Law, Professional Skills, Ethics and Professional Responsibility recorded seminars on any device.  Please refer of your professional body relating to your Rules and if a particular program is relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of law, you may claim one CLE/ CPD unit for each hour of attendance.

Am I able to suggest a specific legal update or CPD topic?
Yes, we welcome your feedback and suggestions as our aim is to tailor our services to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our aim is to ensure that your suggestion is actioned within 6 months, if not sooner.

Do all your events run as scheduled and advertised?
While most CPD for Me events run like clockwork, we do retain the right to vary the program to deal with unforeseen circumstances. This includes cancelling or rescheduling a program, changing speakers or content, or moving presentation times around due to the needs of presenters.

Do I have to download lots of files and how much storage will I require?
No, our sessions are all in the cloud and on-demand are available 24/7. Our 10 and 40 Unit packages allow unlimited access to our on-demand library. Our 3, 5 and 50 unit packages are access as you watch online.

When does my subscription end?
  • Single On-Demand – one fee earner access to watch 24/7 until no longer in library
  • Single Webinar – One fee earner access to event
  • 10, 3, 5 and 50 unit package subscription does not expire. When you use up your units, simply purcahse more.
  • Firm 50 Unit package has no expiry and has the ability to top up once fee earners have used all 50 units.

What do I receive as part of my subscription?
  • Single On-Demand – one fee earner access to watch until no longer in library
  • Single Webinar – One fee earner access to event
  • 3 and 5 unit package allow you to choose any on-demand session to watch until no longer in library
  • 10 unit packages allow one fee earner only access on-demand and webinars to the value of 10 units. Simply top up to obtain further units
  • 50 Unit package allows access to any on-demand or webinar with no expiry date. When your units are completed, simply top up to conitue using your account
  • ALL subscriptions include a weekly eNewsletter and free LogCPD activity report

How long will it take for my subscription to be active?
We provide immediate access to online on-demand recorded CLE/CPD products. If there is an issue please email admin@cpdforme.com.au and we should have rectified within 24 hours unless otherwise stated.

On-Demand recorded webinars and sessions will remain available until they are no longer in our library

How do I create an account and purchase a subscription?
Top Left – Click on My Account Log In and under Available Downloads click on your purchased package. We recommend having your email as your username as you never forget this and passwords are easily reset

How do I log my CPD units?
CPD units are automatically credited to the account holder LogCPD after the completion of the live event (you must be logged in) or when watching an on-demand recording.

How do I monitor my CPD units?
  1. Top Left – My Account Log In
  2. Scroll Down to LogCPD and click on hyperlinked text
  3. Please advise if you need to delete double ups or does not reflect your file notes on completed CLE/CPD Sessions for On-Demand.
  4. Webinar CPD is allocated within 72 hours of completion

How do I select the On-Demand Sessions I want to watch?
  1. Choose your session/s, add to cart and purchase
  2. Once payment is received you should have immediate access in your MY CPD Account page to watch and record in your  LogCPD
  3. If you have purchased a 3 and 5 unit package, please email admin@cpdforme.com.au the sessions you would like added to your account. These will appear in your account within 24 hours and an email sent to advise you they are ready to watch, 24/7 on any device.

I need a Tax Invoice before purchasing. Is this possible?
Yes, this is possible. Phone Paula Gilmour direct on 0425 275 207 and a registration form to be emailed to you. Complete the form, scan and email to admin@cpdforme.com.au We will then raise an invoice and the payment methods accepted.

You can pay using any one of the following methods –

  • Credit card (no you do not need a PayPal Account)

Am I able to cancel or transfer my live event registration?
If you can’t attend, you can send another person from your firm at no extra charge. Please email changes to admin@cpdforme.com.au or call Paula on 0425 275 207 to advise.

Alternatively, if this event is being recorded, you can receive the recorded event, transfer to a future event or receive a credit for future use at no extra charge – provided notice is given, in writing at least 24 hours before the event. A cancellation fee of $50 will apply for all events when a refund is requested less than 3 full working days prior to the date of the event. Regrettably no refunds or credits will be available if notice is given of non-attendance less than 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
We offer a 30 day money back guarantee on 10 unit packages and we will provide a refund within 7 days of notification. Please note that during this period you are only able to obtain 1 CLE / CPD point unit.

Frequently asked questions about – Watching Webinars and On-Demand Seminars

How do I watch the on-demand sessions I have purchased?
  1. Login Top Left
  2. Scroll down to “Available Downloads” and click on session title or package purchased
  3. To record CPD Activity – Pop us will appear – add in details, staff name, type, category and hit submit

How long is each webinar and recorded on-demand session?
Recording times vary however the majority go for one hour. You can claim one point for one hour of training. Generally CPD for Me webinars and on-demand recordings take one hour to complete, therefore most people claim one unit per course. If, however, you attend a two hour session, then your CPD activity tracker will reflect 2 units.

Can I view an on-demand recording more than once?/strong>
Yes, if you have subscribed to an on-demand recorded webinar you can view it as many times as you like until it is no longer in the library – Please note you cannot claim the same unit in different years

Any device – Desktop, Tablet or Smart Phone

Do I have to complete any additional work?
Some sessions, come with handout, template, workbook and white paper

Can the on-demand or webinar be viewed by more than one person?
Many firms utilise their boardroom or watch from the same device with our On-Demand and Webinars. If this is the case in your firm you will need to pay additional fees for these units. Please advise us which staff members attended and include:

  1. Date watched
  2. Session title
  3. Full name
  4. Email address

We will then send you an invoice and update your CPD Activity report.

Webinar FAQ
Our web conferencing works with any browser, any platform, anytime. So long as you can browse the Internet on your device, you will be able to watch your webinar.

When you register for a live event you will be sent an email with links and login details however this is for one fee earner only.

If you wish for other fee earners, please advise so that we can forward an invoice and update your CPD activity tracker once completed.

Frequently asked questions about – Technical Assistance

I am receiving the following error message – “Streaming connection error to the server”
It would appear that this is a network administration issue which is not allowing YouTube access or a RTMP connection to play the videos, please change your network settings to allow these types of files. (eg. Open Port 1935 in bound and out bound)

How do I reset my password?
If you are unable to remember your password, simply top left “My Account Login” enter your username and tick reset password and an email will be sent to you to reset.
