Preview:
In this session, Therese Linton, Founder and Principal Consultant at The BASALT Group, will cover the increasingly respected field of change management. Change management is both a profession and a set of disciplines that ensure the successful delivery of business outcomes arising from major projects, regulatory reform, mergers, process and system changes.
It covers the basic change management skills that are expected of all new change managers, as well as business managers, consultants and advisers. This practical session includes – introduction to change management; stakeholder impact analysis and expectation management; the role of change leaders; and the three core delivery areas of communication, training and engagement.
The field of change management is vast and takes years of formal training and on the job experience to become truly competent. Change Management is a profession with formal certification, as well as a set of skills that can be applied by any manager to improve the successful delivery of results by reducing the change adoption timeframe. It is the application of frameworks, tools and techniques to change based activities to deliver business outcomes.
