About your Speaker
Peter has a strong commercial background, having practised for many years as a partner and in-house counsel with the international chartered accounting firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Prior to this, he worked with the National Crime Authority and a city law firm. He was admitted to practice in 1982 and signed the Roll of Counsel in November 2001. Peter read with Jim Delany. In addition to his legal background, he holds qualifications in accounting and psychology and is an accredited mediator. Since signing the Bar Roll, Peter has continued to work in the commercial area accepting briefs in a range of matters, which have as their common thread the need to deal effectively with financial material. Peter’s experience and background is such that he is able to bring considerable commercial experience to a matter and support more senior counsel in addressing complex financial issues.
