This session aims to provide a reflection on the New South Wales workers’ compensation system, with particular emphasis on how to work successfully with the myriad legislative amendment and current policy. Employer responsibilities, and the importance of early intervention and effective management of injured workers with a view to encouraging a successful return to work outcome will be discussed. There will also be general discussion regarding the course a claim for workers compensation will take when it is disputed and referred to the Workers Compensation Commission for dispute resolution.
