With extensive experience across a wide range of complex matters involving multiple parties and apportionment of costs, Sujan possess in-depth knowledge of costs assessment and taxation process across major jurisdictions in Australia including federal jurisdictions. This places him in a unique position to provide informed guidance on cost-related issues and help achieve the best cost outcomes for his clients across Australia.
Sujan is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. He is also an Advocate admitted in Nepal and a member of the Law Society of New South Wales. Prior to starting his own practice in mid-2024, Sujan used to work for a national legal costing firm where he had the opportunity to hone his skills as a costs lawyer advising clients on a diverse range of issues relating to recovery of costs or minimising costs liability.
In Australia, Sujan has built a strong practice across several key areas of law including legal costing, commercial, and property law. He also advises on immigration and family law matters serving the needs of the growing Nepalese community in Australia. His diverse domestic experience is complemented by extensive international expertise gained in Nepal, where he has advised on complex matters involving corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, insurance, aviation, intellectual property, and construction.
