(8) Appreciate the difference between Voluntary Manslaughter and Involuntary Manslaughter;
(9) Recognise the different types of Voluntary Manslaughter, by Provocation, Diminished Responsibility, Excessive Self-Defence;
(10) Recognise the different types of Involuntary Manslaughter, by Criminal Negligence, by Unlawful and Dangerous Act;
(11)Understand the special rules relating to Self-Defence in the context of homicides;
(12) Understand the special rules relating to Intoxication in the context of homicides.

About your speaker:

Mahmoud Mando is a barrister-at-law in Sydney who practices out of Edmund Barton Chambers in Martin Place. He was admitted as a barrister in 2013 and as a legal practitioner in 2004. He has a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) / Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney. He regularly appears in criminal matters in which he has developed a particular expertise and is a sought-after courtroom advocate.
